What to check before ordering, category by category. If the answer you need is not here, email shopvellorasupply@outlook.com — we would rather answer a question than process a return.

Refrigerators

32 in the range, in five configurations: French door (22), counter-depth (13), top-freezer (3), bottom-freezer (2) and compact (2).

Counter-depth means the box sits roughly flush with your cabinets. It looks built in and holds noticeably less than a standard-depth unit of the same width, so decide which of those matters more before shopping on capacity. Check the door swing and whether the hinge reverses, and measure the depth with the door open, not just closed.

Dishwashers

14 in the range, of which 14 are built-in. Two numbers decide it: place settings, which is capacity, and the dBA rating, which is how loud it is. Below about 45 dBA you will not hear it from the next room; above 50 you will. Built-in units need a water supply, a drain and power in the cabinet space.

Ranges and cooktops

8 in the range, including 8 slide-in models. Slide-in sits between cabinets with the controls at the front and the edges overlapping the counter; freestanding has a back panel and can stand alone. They are not interchangeable in a fitted kitchen.

Gas needs a gas line and a licensed installer. Induction needs a circuit that can carry it and pans a magnet will stick to. Neither is a job to improvise — see Installation.

Commercial kitchen equipment

5 pieces at Commercial Kitchen. Commercial units are built to different standards from domestic ones — heavier duty cycles, different clearances, and often a different electrical supply. They are also frequently excluded from domestic warranty terms when installed in a home, and conversely a domestic appliance used commercially usually voids its warranty. Check the intended use before ordering.

Grills and bath

3 grills at Grills & Outdoor Cooking and 3 fittings at Bath. Gas grills ship without propane. Bath fittings are sized to standard rough-in dimensions — confirm yours before ordering, because a toilet's rough-in is measured from the finished wall to the centre of the drain and is not adjustable afterwards.

Energy ratings

19 products are ENERGY STAR certified. On anything that runs continuously — refrigeration above all — the rating is worth more than the sticker price difference over the life of the machine.

Before you order anything

  • Measure the space and the route in.
  • Check the supply — outlet, circuit, gas or water.
  • Check what is in the box; fittings and connectors are often separate.
  • Read the warranty terms. Covered by the manufacturer's warranty, and commercial use of a domestic appliance commonly voids it.
